Can I come in?, by Marvin Wade
Can I come in? Heyyyyy. I know. I know. Relax. Relax. I just came by to get my toothbrush. But its my favorite toothbrush. No, I really don't want to have to buy another. Thank you my love. Truly appreciate this.
Can I come in? No? Oh...okay. okay sure. I'll wait right here. You don't have to lock...the door Gwen. Wow! That was quick. Yeahhhh there it is. That's it. My toothbrush. Again thank you my love. I am. I am gonna leave. Why so vexed. Just give me a sec. Can I come in for a minute? Let me guess, you don't have the time. Where you going? To see him? Your new friend. What's his name again. Oh yeah Tim. But you are my business. I have every right to know. Of course I don't own you. But I'm still your Man. No judge or order can stand-between our love-here I am. Okay. Okay. I'll leave, but first tell me you love me. Now c'mon don't say that. Please just tell me you love me. You keep saying it's over and for me to get over...you. Got me out here drowning in my tears. When you know damn well I can't swim. Hahahaha. C'mon laugh with me Gwen. No smile? Not even a grin? Can't fucking believe you got me losing you to him! Tim! Who the fuck is this Tim!? I'm sorry. I Didn't mean that.
Can I come in? Okay at least give me a hug. Come'er. Why not? Stop what? See. Just hold me. Yeahhhh just hold me. Look at us. See, look at us. Silence! Shut up Gwen! No I can't move on and no I can't be strong. Sorry, don't mean to hold you so tight. I…I just love you with all my might. I'm weak with the thought of being without you. Don't make me lose the knowledge of my own strength Gwen. Cause at times I can be strong. So be careful what you ask for. Hey, It's okay to cry. Let it out. Those tears of joy are so beautiful to see. Now whisper in my ear you still love me. C'mon whisper in my ear you still love me. Ahhhhhh I love you too Gwen. I love you too.
Now…can I come in? Thank you my love. I promise I won't stay too long. And I'll hold your phone. Leave it with you before I'm gone. No need to plead, "please." Do I love you? yes indeed. Now off your knees, please. And take a seat. I'll place your phone and my toothbrush here. Next to the vase with flowers in it right there. Are…are they from him? Don't bow…your head. I can't hear you Gwen! You said, "yes, from Tim" umph. Wow, how much better these flowers now look at your feet. Don't fuckin' speak. And stay in your seat! Look at it Gwen, what a beautiful vase. So soft. Yet…so hard. And It's heavy. So heavy. The weight is too much for me Gwen. I can't hold on any longer…without you. So today I let go…while I'm with you. But I must let you go. Even you said so. Now you yell and scream out,"No!" Let it go Gwen. Why fight now? This is the end. What you wanted. So just give in. Yes…yes, Just give in. Yes…yes my love, Just give in. Until we meet again Gwen. Until we meet again.
